What Comes Next
In 4 days I will be running another half marathon. It will be my 4th half marathon this year. But this race is still special because it completes my 2010 Running Goals. Going Rouge
I spent the day in reflection. Started with reviewing week 7 of marathon training. The week started with good intentions but by midweek I had to go off schedule. It has been said that flexibility is key in training. Yes, marathon training takes a toll on your body and free time but I feel that the sacrifices are worth it as the reward to me is priceless. Monday: Rest Day and I rested Tuesday: 6 miles easy (9:58/mile) with 6 strides but I ended up with 6.01 miles at 9:55/mile 2 strides Wednesday: Hills, 7 miles but I ran 0 miles. Thursday: Rest Day but I ran 5.05 at 9:58/mile pace Friday: 5 miles with 3 miles at MP (9:09/mile) again I ran 0 miles Saturday: 5 miles easy (9:58/mile) but I incorporated my missed hill run here running 7.51 miles at a 9:36 … Read entire article »
