Weathering Moods
It is a beautiful sunny yet extremely windy Saturday. My mood is taking its cues from the weather too. I am staying positive (sunny) yet unpredictable (windy). After Tuesday’s rib set back I rested and did not get back on the road until Friday evening. Super Charged
“I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it” First let me say how very lucky that you are reading this because you would not want to hear my singing voice or lack there of. Why am I so excited you ask? Well, my second 20 mile run went better than last week’s! It is so hard to believe my old body has hung in this week to get another strong long run under my training belt. It was a perfect running day. I could not ask for better weather conditions with the low 60′s temps and cloudy skies. The figure 8 route I chose was basically the same as last week but decided to do the second half in the opposite direction giving me some different hills. Let’s Get Ready To Rumble….
Morning! If you are a repeat reader of runtrackmind you may have seen the challenge I’ve set for myself this year to run 4 half and 2 full marathons. Phase 1 of the goal consisted of the first 2 half and 1 full marathons which I completed on May 30th. Phase 2 is now officially scheduled….No turning back now. October 3rd– Smuttynose Half Marathon, Hampton NH October 17th– Amica Marathon, Newport RI November 14th – Chilly Half Marathon, Newton MA While signing up for these races I did something I’ve never done before.
