It’s A RTM Celebration
One year and 191 posts ago RunTrackMind was born. Over the past year I’ve talked mostly of running, some about eating clean and a little of my health coach sessions with a few of my daily lessons learned sprinkled in. I’ve received a few comments over the year that have provided not only new insights, but encouragement and smiles. I’ve meet new friends that I cherish. I’ve learned that my little piece of blogosphere has potential. But like all … Read entire article »

Snow, Rain and 13.1 Miles
This morning I did not expect to see this on my way to Hyannis to run the half marathon. This road looks a bit desolate and I was cruising along until a visitor pulled out of a hiding place. My heart stopped and I thought for sure I was going to be pulled over. Strange thing was he decided to follow me for several miles then slowly passed me….whew, thank you Mr. State Trooper. Getting Ready For Race 1 of 2011

Whirlwind
As most weekends I run both Saturday and Sunday with Saturday typically being the long run day. Our weather over the last two days has been in a word windy. Because of plans to be at my brothers fairly early I decided to do my long … Read entire article »

Life un-Balanced
Can it be Thursday already? I’ve been struggling to keep a healthy life balance. Work has taken a little twist which left me without the extra free time to work on my blogging. Of course I should not complain about this because this twist is very positive to my work life. Finding a little happiness in the place I have to spend eight hours a day even if the assignment is temporary is an added bonus. In my fitness life I am registered for 6 races starting next weekend and I am starting to feel the pressure. I’ve been running, but not with the intensity that I did during the second half of my training for my fall marathon last year. This has the nerves and stress of race performance setting in. And … Read entire article »

Going Long
Long distance Sunday in a few words. 12 miles in 1:54:18 – I did wear my older shoes for today’s run which was definitely the right decision. My only concern now is just how weak my right quad feels. I’ve experienced ITB problems with the other leg, but this does not feel like the start of an ITB issue. So I am really at a loss, I can’t figure this one out. One of my favorite recovery … Read entire article »
