Living For The Weekend

Living For The Weekend

Where to begin?  Big weekend of friendship, shopping, baking and of course running.  How was your weekend? I was able to get my long run in on Friday so my Saturday run was a quick recovery run of 4 easy miles.  It was warmer (26 degrees) and the roads seemed less icy which was definitely a plus.  I had Saturday plans with a good friend so I had to hurry and hit the road for our … Read entire article »

Ice Wars

Ice Wars

This morning’s 8 mile run was probably not the smartest move on my part.  It was crazy icy.  Snow covered ice. Choppy ice. Smooth ice. Black ice.  I encountered it all this morning.   With my IceSpikes securely fastened to my shoes I feel more confident on wintry roads and only had one slight bobble.  I did however stay upright, thank goodness.  Love this product!  I did notice today that I need to replace a few of … Read entire article »

Something Old & Something New

Something Old & Something New

And it’s snowing, again.  In their attempt at safety, work closed early releasing us at 3:30 so that we could be home before dark.  Good idea except it seems everyone else was going home at the same time making for a frustrating ride home. Speed Play In The Snow

Speed Play In The Snow

With yesterday’s temps in the single digits I stayed inside and completed another Jillian Michael’s 6W6P workout.  Each time I do this workout I feel stronger and after this week (just 2 more times) I will move onto Level 2.  Honestly, I can’t wait for the switch…I’m getting a little tired of the same thing but I am committed to finish.    I was, however,  very optimistic that I would get an outside run in today when … Read entire article »

3 In 3

3 In 3

Crazy runner.  That is who I was today.  I mean really, 3 degrees and I still ran outside.  OK, it was not a long run…just 3.77 miles but it was 3 degrees!  Brrrrrr.  It was hard the first mile, I warmed up a bit the second mile and was comfortable into the third but not sure I would have wanted to go that much further than I did.  When I got back I stated that my cheeks … Read entire article »

A Little Speed & Lots Of Fur

A Little Speed & Lots Of Fur

Our New England Winter has been in a word, Harsh.  Snow, ice, freezing rain, and low temps.  I like to think that it is making me stronger having to endure these frigid conditions.  Today, was another morning to test my will, but this morning was different.  I felt so comfortable and it was only 14 degrees!  I started out with my iPhone playlist and somewhere in mile 2 it hit a Coaching compilation that I had … Read entire article »
