Frosty Tail
On Saturday mornings it is a given that I run. Well, yesterday was no exception even though the temp was only 5 degrees. Once I got out there I never really warmed up completely so I opted to cut the run to 5 miles. Somewhere in the last 2 miles I notices something out of the corner of my eye. Something a little strange and a little revealing. BRRR! 5 degrees is cold enough to create…. a … Read entire article »

I love being on vacation from work! It doesn’t matter that I have no major plans or exotic trip to take. Sometimes you just need a break from your work life. This morning I did something I haven’t done in months. Yoga. Not sure when or why I stopped but after today I’m committing to a least once a week. I did not realize how tight I’d become. I think that my day could be summed up with this old children’s game. This glorious Saturday started with a very S-L-O-W 6 mile run. OK, so I understand that my marathon scheduled called for a easy recovery run at a pace of 9:58, but usually I have to really slow myself down to comply. This morning however I could hardly keep up. What does this mean? Is my body just feeling the effects of training? Was my growling stomach and lack of sleep a factor? Am I just getting … Read entire article »

Shopaholic?
Its Monday again. Another start to a new week. After running for the past 3 days today is a rest day, but decided Yoga would do the body good. I chose the Hip Opening Flow from yogadownload.com. Today, I will be doing something out of the norm for me. I will stepping outside of my comfort zone to attend my first Blogger Meet N Mingle. For me to go out alone to meet people for the first time is a big deal. Where I’ve always wanted to participate in things over the years my shyness tends to overtake the will. I’ll be sure to follow up with that story tomorrow. I’m a big reader and sometimes I like a light read and Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorites. After reading all of her stand alone titles I am … Read entire article »
