Christmas In July

Hope your day was all you expected it to be. Thursday is my rest day so no, nada, zilch, zero workouts today.  But yesterday I had a fantastic 5 mile hill run.  I took on a  new route which was a light bulb moment of discovery and still can not believe I didn’t think of it before.  It is a rolling course with some challenging climbs.  Such a great preparation to my next 3 runs which are all hilly.  Now Tuesday’s run was another story.  I woke up super tired.  The Acupuncturist had said that I may experience vivid dreams and even though I do not remember having them I wonder if my sleep was interrupted because of unremembered dreams.  It took every ounce of what little energy I did have to get out the door for my scheduled 3 … Read entire article »

Piggyback?

Hope you had a fantastic Friday.  I am so excited that it is finally the weekend….and a 3 day weekend to boot.     Happy Dance!  Do you have big plans for the 4th of July weekend?  I plan on just catching up on some homework from an online course that I am taking, enjoying a little relaxation and of course getting in a couple of runs. Yesterday was a scheduled non run day, so I decided to workout with an Incredible Ab workout with Cindy Whitmarsh on Exercise TV.     Love it!   This morning was another 4 mile run at a scheduled 10:04/min per mile.  I am currently following the 4 Hour or Bust training schedule from last month’s Runner’s World, but I do have a hard time sticking to the times they want you to start … Read entire article »
