What a gorgeous Saturday!  Hope you are having a fantastic weekend. 

I drove into Providence this morning to pick up my bib for tomorrow’s race and explore the expo.  I guess you could call it an expo.  It was honestly not impressive at all and the booths had nothing to do with fitness.  Any hoo I am all set for tomorrow if my body holds together.  I am still fighting a bit of a cold but am not any worse than yesterday. 

Hopefully, I will be well enough to wear my new Fila outfit. 

If all goes well, I wanted to make sure I ate well today to run well tomorrow. 

Breakfast was an egg white and Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain muffin sandwich and a green monster smoothie.

And a little Irish Luck never hurt anyone, right?

I snacked on 2 clementines and some almonds while sitting out on the deck soaking in some Vitamin D.

While out in Providence and running a few other errands I snacked on a Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar. 

Lunch at home was a filling sandwich on whole wheat of turkey, spinach, low fat swiss and tomato.  Yum.

And a little snack/dessert of plain Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries and a few grain sweetened chocolate chips.

 

And finally a classic pasta dinner with chicken for a little carb loading.

Now as the day is winding down my thoughts are on getting to bed early as I will be up around 5 am tomorrow to prepare for the Half Marathon….at least that is the plan.
