Super Charged
“I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it”
First let me say how very lucky that you are reading this because you would not want to hear my singing voice or lack there of. Why am I so excited you ask? Well, my second 20 mile run went better than last week’s! It is so hard to believe my old body has hung in this week to get another strong long run under my training belt.
It was a perfect running day. I could not ask for better weather conditions with the low 60′s temps and cloudy skies. The figure 8 route I chose was basically the same as last week but decided to do the second half in the opposite direction giving me some different hills. I know that Newport’s Marathon is on the hilly side especially the second half so want to be prepared for fatigue hill running.
Once I looked down at the Garmin going into the last mile and saw that I was going to beat my previous time I kicked it into 4th gear to finish with some extra speed. I am happy to report no neck or back tightness this week but have an inkling that my hammies will be tight tomorrow.

Maybe my super charged dinner last night and the full 8 hours of sleep I got were the keys to these successful 20 miles. I’ve talked about my Udon noodle dinners but last night I turned into a food blogger to share the details except I do not know what to call this meal. Any suggestions?
Sweet Potato Turkey Udon Noodles
Add veggies with a little olive oil. I used onion, zucchini, artichokes, peppers
Add spices
Add some organic turkey
While turkey is cooking add 1/2 cup each of these ingredients to blender to create the sauce
I added a sprinkle of each of these to the sauce for flavor
Once turkey is fully cooked add the sauce to the pan
Boil the water for the noodles. These are quick cooking noodles so once they are done add to the pan, stir and add to your bowl
And enjoy!
My Question To You: When you have some exciting news who is your favorite person to share it with?

Congrats on another great run! You are rocking this training cycle. That four hour marathon is all yours
I’m pretty noisy about good news! I call my BFF, grandmother, boyfriend, and mother. Everyone is subjected to my glee.
