Meet Bekah

My name is Rebekah, also known as Becky, Beks or Bekah. I newly forty-something girl who has a passion for a number of things but I would say running, natural health and learning new things are the top contenders.  My faith as a Christ follower is the foundation of all that I am and how I try to live my life.  No one is perfect so I am grateful of God’s daily grace in my life.

My natural lifestyle includes the Eat Clean diet and since October 2000 I have been fortunate enough not to have to take any medications either over the counter or prescribed….except for a total of 6 days.  I make the choice to use holistic options, vitamins and chiropractic as ways to stay healthy or deal with illness.  I started running over ten years ago but just over the last 4 years have I jumped into distance running.

Running for eternity actually holds two meanings, one physical and one spiritual.  I want to be able to physically continue to run for as long as I have days here on earth.  But more importantly, running for eternity speaks of my blessed assurance of knowing that I will be running in heaven when my work here is done.

Because I tend to be on the quiet side, my thoughts typically go unsaid. I enjoy writing and photography so blogging is ideal. I’ve decided to use the blog to encourage and motivate others to live a life with passion.

Please feel free to email at rungirl20 at comcast.net (sub the @ for at).

Disclaimer:  I am by no means an expert in any subject except my own life.  This blog is merely a representation of what works for my lifestyle.  Be sure to check with your health care providers if you have any concerns about your health.

Hi Rebekah! I came across your blog from a comment you left somewhere because I LOVE your blog name :) From reading your about me, it seems like we have a lot in common — I am also a long distance runner who lives (and runs!) in New England. And I love what you said about your faith being your foundation for all that you are.

Anyway, good luck in the rest of your training for the Vermont City Marathon. I’ve been wanting to do that one for awhile now and almost ran it this year, but sadly it’s the weekend of one of my sister’s graduation. I’m excited to hear your recap of it though!

I’m also looking forward to learning like more about Eating Clean — I’ve been trying to limit the amount of processed foods in my diet so I’m always looking for new suggestions.

    Cheers! Lauren
